This is the best display protection film I have ever used. It isn’t just thick packing tape like many other companies market. This film is more like a super thin, hard shell for your display. Instead of the typical tape-like adhesive, this film has a tacky silicone coating to adhere to your camera display, it doesn’t leave residue behind and doesn’t get ruined if you need to make adjustments while applying it. The shape and size of the film are perfect and once it is applied properly it is nearly imperceptible. All images are crystal clear on the display. I have taken my new camera on several outings to tide pools, hiking and other places and the film is still scratch-free.
The package includes 2 protective films and a microfiber cloth. When saw that it came with a microfiber cloth in the description, I expected the typical 2×3 inch throw away microfiber cloth. That’s not the case at all. It comes with what the company calls a sandwich cloth and is usually about $8. It is about 12×8 inches, comes in a resealable mylar pouch and is definitely worth keeping with your laptop, camera or other optical gear.
The instructions are in Japanese only but in typical Japanese fashion, there is an image based instruction that doesn’t require any reading anyhow. If that isn’t enough, they have a link for an English website on the package.
Just clean your camera’s display in a dust free environment with the microfiber cloth, remove the edge of the backing by the yellow tab, line up the film to one edge of your display and continue peeling the backing as you guide the film onto your camera.
As long as there is no dust on the display when you apply the film and you don’t touch the sticky side, your display should look flawless.
I will definitely look to this company first for display protection for any electronics or cameras I buy in the future.
