Has European adapter plug, which is nice to have. The 12V car adapter will get use. I can use this 110/220V outlet charger to charge one battery while charging another for my Canon 5D Mark II in the charger that came with the camera, saving myself some time. The LP-E6 battery that came with this charger will serve as back up battery for my camera or the second LP-E6 battery for use in my Canon BG-EG Battery Grip for the 5D. I don’t like the fact that the “Power 2000 LP-E6″ will not charge in a Canon charger. It would have been nice if the battery was a Canon LP-E6. But hay, you can’t have everything this item sales for $39.99. While venders are badly price gauging, charging more then three times a normal price for a Canon LP-E6 replacement battery. Venders have been asking around $160, which is way, way out of line! All because the new Canon 5D Mark II is so popular. For sure, in a year or so once the new 5D Mark II becomes a normally stocked item ending all the back ordering a Canon LP-E6 battery will be priced more rationally, less then $50, count on it! But, in the mean time…~~~~~~~~~ addendum: I also purchased a Canon ACK-E6 AC adapter Ket for the Canon 5D Mark II to use while doing studio work shooting from a tripod, so to use the camera without a need for any batteries, though then of course the camera then trails a AC electric line. (I also give the ACK-E6 adapter 5 stars too).

The package (battery+charger) was very attractively priced. The battery capacity is good. I had read that some aftermarket batteries were getting stuck in the battery compartment of the 7D. I’d hoped mine would escape that little setback, but alas it did not. I had to shake it out of my 5D2. I’m not at all comfortable doing so again. I will only use this battery as a very last resort.
Great battery life let down by imprecise manufacture.

As other reviewers have stated, it won’t communicate with the camera, which I expected. However I didn’t expect any difficulties removing the battery from my Canon 7D when it came time to recharge it. Had to use a screwdriver and a lotta patience.

I have been very pleased with the battery so far. It seems to last just as long as the Canon battery and it fits perfectly in the camera. The camera can’t read info from the battery though. Which I don’t mind considering how much cheaper it is than the Canon battery.

Doesn’t interact with the on-camera battery strength system, but it is worth it for the price. Works well and for the cost, I’d recommend getting two if you do lots of shooting, especially if you take HD video which uses live view and therefore sucks power.
